Experience
As a practicing counselor since 1979, child and family
therapist since 1986 and mediator since 1996, I have worked in a rich variety of
settings with diverse client populations. As a parent and grandparent, and oldest child of aging
parents, my personal experiences with a variety of individual and family issues
give me yet another perspective from which to connect with my clients. I have expanded my worldview with travel outside of the US, and hope to do much more.
Education
I followed my Master's degree with post-graduate study in Family Therapy, and have continued my education in all areas of child,
family and couple therapy, and in family
and divorce mediation. My Doctoral studies were focused on multiculturalism and adult development, which sparked an interest (at the age of 50) in the areas of 'aging well' and Medical Crisis Counseling.
